Terms of Service

Last updated: August 1, 2025

Welcome to Love Letters & Legacy, a bespoke letter and legacy writing experience offered by J.Renee—a ghostwriter of memoirs, fiction and nonfiction for nearly thirty years.

By engaging with this service—whether by visiting the site, submitting an inquiry, or purchasing a commission—you agree to the following terms:

1. Custom Creative Work

All letters and writings are handcrafted, personalized, and considered intellectual property. You receive full personal use of your letter(s), but commercial reproduction or public publishing requires written consent from J.Renee in perpetuity. All materials will be delivered digitally for the clients personal use unless a Legacy Box or other arrangements are made—such as calligraphy and printing services.

2. Payment & Refunds

Due to the bespoke nature of this work, all payments are non-refundable. Payment plans may be available for select projects. Pricing begins at $5,000 per project with multiple letter and legacy projects ranging from $10,000-$25,000 and up.

3. Confidentiality

All stories, interviews, and correspondence shared with J.Renee are held in the strictest confidence unless written permission is given. Letters are never shared or excerpted publicly revealed, in hole or part, without explicit, written approval. It is important to know that J.Renee outsources calligraphy and printing services to trusted individuals, who are independent contractors and not bound my Love Letters & Legacy confidentiality and terms. if those are desired and added to your white-glove experience, a separate confidentially agreement would be required.

4. Timeline & Delivery

Each project follows a custom timeline. We will agree upon key dates during our consultation which in most cases do not extend past 90 days. Delays caused by the client (missed interviews, feedback, etc.) may extend final delivery. If the project has not been completed within the 90 days due to client delays, the client forfeits the Love Letters & Legacy project (unless outreach and plans have been made).

5. Right to Decline

J.Renee reserves the right to decline any project that does not align with the spirit or ethics of the studio.
